I'm Anja Dobler, based in Berlin and teaching clients internationally through online sessions. My work integrates Pilates, yoga, breathwork, and myofascial release into an approach designed for real bodies dealing with real life: stress, burnout, ageing, injury, and the complexity of staying well in a demanding world.

How I Got Here

I started as a Pilates instructor over 25 years ago, becoming a Comprehensive Pilates Instructor certified by the National Pilates Certification Program (NPCP) and eventually a teacher trainer. I spent over 15 years at Garuda headquarters in London, where I trained across all Garuda modalities and built lasting relationships with clients who stayed with me for years, some over a decade.

But I was always curious about what else could help people. So I pursued extensive training in multiple disciplines: 500 hours of yoga teacher training (RYT-500, Yoga Alliance), advanced breathwork certification through YogaBody, Yin Yoga through Yoga Renew, myofascial release through Yoga Medicine, and specialised training in Rehabilitative Pilates (London College of Osteopathy and Health Sciences), osteoporosis-safe movement protocols (Buff Bones), and injury prevention and rehabilitation. I also completed a year of Pilates Therapy training.

I hold a Burnout Prevention certification through Yoga Medicine, which reflects something important about my approach: wellness isn't just about getting stronger or more flexible. It's about supporting your nervous system, managing stress, and building practices that actually sustain you.

My Approach

What I discovered through all this training is that the most powerful work happens when you stop thinking in boxes, when you can draw from Pilates for stability and strength, yoga for mobility and awareness, breathwork for nervous system regulation, and myofascial release for fascial health.

I don't teach "pure" anything. Instead, I meet each person where they are and bring whatever tools will help them most.

For some clients, that means Pilates-based strength work with attention to breath patterns. For others, it's gentle, restorative movement combined with fascial release. Breathwork is central to much of what I do, whether taught as a standalone practice or integrated into movement sessions to support nervous system regulation and recovery.

My teaching is guided by a principle I learned from years of practice: I offer suggestions based on my training and what I observe, but you make the decisions based on how your body feels in that moment. This isn't about following a fixed programme or pushing through regardless of how you're showing up that day. It's about developing the awareness to notice what your body actually needs, whether that's challenge or gentleness, movement or release, effort or rest, and trusting yourself to make those choices. My job is to give you options and expert guidance. Your job is to listen to your body and decide what's right for you, right now.

Who I Work With

My clients tend to be thoughtful people who want more than just exercise. They want to understand their bodies, manage stress effectively, and build sustainable practices. Many have tried multiple approaches and are looking for something more integrated and personalised.

I work primarily online, which means I can support people wherever they are in the world. My sessions are private and tailored to individual needs, drawing on whichever aspects of my training will serve you best.

Beyond Credentials

What keeps my clients coming back isn't just my training. It's that I genuinely care about helping people feel better, move better, and find practices that actually sustain them through life's challenges.

After moving from London to my native Berlin five years ago, I've focused on online teaching, maintaining the depth and continuity that long-term client relationships require. Many of my clients have been with me for over ten years.

If you're looking for cookie-cutter classes, I'm probably not your person. But if you want thoughtful, integrated work that treats you as a whole person, I'd love to hear from you.
